PsyLab is a research laboratory for both theoretical and applied studies, affiliated with the Department of Philosophy, Communication, and Performing Arts at Roma Tre University.
Its goal is to deeply explore how subjectivities—including the expression of psychological suffering—are shaped within contemporary postmodern culture. Understanding others cannot be separated from studying the context and social environment in which they exist, composed of culturally determined norms, customs, and logics that implicitly influence our organization of personality, identity, and even our unconscious.
The complexity and various levels at which interactions occur make psychoanalysis a valuable tool for exploring human subjectivities while simultaneously developing intervention models—individual, group, and social—guided by an ethic of care and reciprocity.
